Welcome to Real Estate Rankers. These terms cover your use of realestaterankers.com and any service you buy from us, including website builds, website hosting and care plans, SEO, paid advertising management and backlinks. By using our website or paying for a service, you agree to these terms.
1. About Us
Real Estate Rankers LLC provides SEO, paid advertising, website design and website hosting services for real estate professionals across the United States.
2. Use of Cookies
By visiting our website, you agree to the use of cookies. Cookies improve your experience and may be used for analytics and retargeting ads. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the website may not work as intended.
3. Services and Online Purchases
Some services, such as our Starter Website and our hosting and care plans, can be bought online through our secure checkout, which is provided by Stripe. Other services are provided under a separate proposal or written agreement. If a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement controls.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
All hosting and care plans are billed in advance, either monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are charged to the card or bank account on file. Sales tax is added where required.
We may change plan prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. If our hosting provider raises its prices with less notice than that, we will pass along as much notice as we receive. A new price applies from your next billing date after the notice, and you can cancel before then if you prefer not to continue.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You can cancel any plan at any time. Just give us at least 7 days’ notice before your next billing date by emailing haley@realestaterankers.com. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Payments already made are non-refundable, including any unused time left on a yearly plan.
6. Hosting
- Every plan includes up to 10,000 website visits a month. If your site goes over, extra visits are billed at $1 per 1,000, and we will let you know before overages become a regular charge.
- Your site is hosted with a premium third-party hosting provider. We work hard to keep your site fast and online, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for outages caused by the hosting provider or other third parties.
- The Hosting plan is only available for websites we built. Websites built by someone else can be hosted with us on Care or Care Plus.
- On the Hosting plan, support comes from the hosting provider’s team. Any work you ask us to do is billed at $95 an hour.
- Daily backups are kept for 14 days. We recommend keeping your own copies of any content that matters to your business.
7. Care and Care Plus
- Care includes 30 minutes of edit time a month, and unused time rolls over for 1 month. Care Plus includes 2 hours a month, and unused time rolls over for 3 months. Edit time has no cash value and is not refundable.
- Edit time covers changes to your existing site, such as updating text and photos or adding and removing agents. On Care Plus, it also covers new pages and landing pages. Redesigns and new content are quoted separately.
- The Care Plus monthly blog post is written by you. We format it and publish it. Writing blog posts is part of our SEO plans.
- Work beyond your monthly time is billed at $95 an hour on Care, or $85 an hour on Care Plus. We will tell you before going over.
- Response times are measured in business days, Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays.
8. Website Builds
- Website builds are paid in full before work begins unless your proposal says otherwise.
- Starter Website timelines begin once we have received everything on your details form.
- Starter and Growth Websites include one round of revisions. Pro, Complete, Rank Ready and Market Leader Websites include two rounds.
- Each build includes free months of a hosting or care plan, as shown at checkout or in your proposal. After that, the plan continues at its regular price unless you choose a different plan or cancel.
- If you need a domain, we register it in your name. For Starter Websites, the first year is included. After that, the domain renews each year at the registrar’s price.
9. Ownership of Your Website
Once your build is paid in full, your domain, content, design and WordPress files belong to you. While you are a client, your site runs on our hosting, because we can only maintain and support a site that we host.
If you cancel, you can take your site with you at no charge. Within 7 days after your plan ends, we will either move it to hosting in your own name or send you a complete copy, including the WordPress files, the database and your media. Your domain is registered in your name, so it stays with you.
Our hosting account and care work stay with us, and any premium plugins licensed under our accounts stay with their providers. Your IDX feed subscription is bought by you directly from your MLS or IDX provider, so it stays in your name and goes with you.
10. Your Responsibilities
- You confirm that you have the right to use any text, photos, logos and other material you send us.
- You are responsible for making sure your website follows Fair Housing law and your brokerage’s advertising rules.
11. Late or Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will contact you and Stripe will try the payment again. If a payment is still unpaid 7 days after its due date, we may pause hosting and other services until the balance is paid.
12. Privacy and Data Usage
We value your privacy. Real Estate Rankers does not sell or share client information. Data we collect is used only to provide and improve our services. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on realestaterankers.com, including text, graphics, logos and images, belongs to Real Estate Rankers unless otherwise noted. It may not be copied or used without our written permission.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SEO and advertising results depend on many factors outside our control, so we do not guarantee specific rankings or leads.
15. Limitation of Liability
Real Estate Rankers is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, our website or services. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will email active clients about any change that affects their billing. Continuing to use our website or services after an update means you accept the new terms.
